Terms of use of the calculators for AI assistants
The service is provided by Iacopo Chianese, civil-law notary in Pioltello and Milan, Italy, with office at Piazza della Repubblica 3, Pioltello. How to connect, and what the calculators do, is explained on the service page.
What the service is
At mcp.notaiochianese.it the notary’s office makes available six calculators that an AI assistant can use on behalf of the person asking: the taxes on buying a home, cadastral value, the value of usufruct and bare ownership, heirs’ shares, inheritance and gift tax, and the comparison between selling and gifting a home within the family.
They are the same calculations as on the pages of this site. The service is free and requires no registration.
What it is not
The results are calculations, made with the data provided and with the rules in force on the date stated in every answer. They are not a fee quote, because they do not include the notary’s fee; they are not advice on a specific case; and they do not replace the checks a notary carries out before a deed.
Using the service does not create a professional engagement.
Before you decide
A calculation depends on the data entered, and an assistant may understand or relay them inaccurately. Before making a decision the result should be checked: by repeating the calculation on the tool’s page, and with the notary’s office for anything that concerns your own case.
Liability
The notary’s office takes care that the calculation rules and the figures are correct and up to date, but does not guarantee that the result is accurate in every case or that it fits your situation: it depends on the data provided, and on how the assistant understood and relayed them.
The result is an indication. The notary’s office is not liable for decisions taken or losses suffered by relying on the calculation alone, without having it checked by a notary. This does not affect cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or the rights the law grants to consumers.
How it may be used
The service may be used freely, including by software, for the calculations it was built for.
It may not be used in a way that impairs its operation, and its results may not be presented as advice or as a fee quote from the notary’s office. To protect the service, the number of requests is limited.
Availability and changes
The notary’s office updates the figures when the rules change, and may modify, suspend or discontinue the service at any time, without notice.
These terms may change: the version published on this page, with its date, is the one that applies.
Personal data
What the service receives, and what it records, is set out in the privacy policy, in the section on the calculators.
